30 days of COLOUR- Week One

I’m back…..

Things got super busy and I struggled to keep up with myself let alone my blog!
When your mind is so busy you can’t think creatively and I wanted to fall in love with makeup and blogging again. I LOVE a good challenge, so I thought 30 days of COLOUR would help me get the creative ball rolling again.

I also realised I have so many VIBRANT eye shadows and eyeliners in my makeup collection that need some more attention! This challenge will help me to dive head first towards the colours that intimidate me.

Day 1 – Sunflower Inspiration
This look isn’t the strongest start to the challenge but I think it’s a good way to incorporate colour if you’re LAZY! I’m also really into brown mascara at the moment.

 

Day 2 – Pop of Purple
This isn’t the first time I’ve posted this look but I just ADORE it! It was also in my Colourpop Project Throwback. This day in particular I had been at work all day and spiced up the warm brown smokey eye I had put on in the morning by smothering this shade all over my inner corner.
This colour was originally from the Sugarpill Sparkle Baby Palette that I de-potted.

Day 3 – Olive Obsessed
Look, I can’t say I’m in love with this look.
I had really high expectations for an olive smokey eye but the colours were a little patchy and disappointing, But I wanted to include it anyways. This NYX skinny eyeliner is also terrible but I’m trying to use it up.

Day 4 – Candied Soul
Looking at how this look turned out I probably would have swapped the colours around and had the pop of pink in the middle! But I wanted to get more use out of my Juvia’s Place Palette as I have really dug into the warm browns but not the Brights.

Day 5 – Summer Spice
This is my favourite look of the week! Something about it feels like it was torn from a comic book and the coral lip is a modern twist of the classic bold red paired with this liner. 

Day 6 – Bold Berry
This day was the ultimate lazy MOTD and I paired MAC Flat out Fabulous with MAC More to Love lip liner as my bold choice. As for face I decided to just GLOW myself up with the Natio lip balm on my cheeks, lids and temples. It’s the best balm I’ve found for that kind of wet gloss that doesn’t completely disintegrate whats underneath.

Day 7 – Emerald Flick
The emerald green liquid eyeliner from Colourpop is a product I wish I got more use out of! I wanted more of a metallic effect this time around so I layered the two greens over the top. I’m pretty sure I was inspired by Katie Jane Hughes on Instagram for the geometric detail, she did something similar with eyeliner but on the inner corner.
