Spending in the City: Sephora + Mecca Haul

If we ignore the fact that all these photos look extremely half a*sed and rushed ( Because they were) this would be a pretty posh blog post! I’m currently staying in the city for the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival for work, soooooooooo a trip to Sephora was on the cards as soon as I got the invite. But nobody’s here for the horrific bathroom lit photos right?? We are all here for a HAUL!

So I went a little Fenty Beauty crazy…….
Since it launched I had been watching from afar at all the stunning branding and extravagant launches but was never near a store to check it all out. So I really LET MYSELF GO. Colours listed from top to bottom.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in “Uncensored” –
The swatch in the photo shows quite pink but it is a FULL ON true red. I can’t even begin to describe the consistency, it swatches like a lip oil in a way and sets down so thin you honestly forget you’ve got any lippy on. I will say with this consistency it does make it slightly harder to apply but luckily I had a lip brush handy when I tried it out for those edges.

Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Lipstick in “Freckle Fiesta”-
THIS COLOUR!! Never knew I needed a luscious RUST colour in my collection till now.

Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Lipstick in “Single”-
I had two peachy nudes in my basket, this Fenty one and a Bite Beauty one. The bite beauty one was essentially a glossy version of this colour so she got the boot.

Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Mini Set –
I thought I was done with Fenty till I entered TILL TERRITORY where all the minis are. I thought the gloss was bloody gorgeous but I was more interested in the other lippies that I didn’t think the full size was worth it. But one of the other girls found it and honestly, she didn’t have to convince me to buy it. The gloss included is the shade “Fenty Glow” and the Highlighter is the Killawatt in “Hu$tla Baby”.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in “Radish”-
Speaking of Bite Beauty…
This is my first EVER product from Bite Beauty and I’m so in love with the rich pigment that I saw in not only this magenta but all the other colours in the range. It was so stunning I couldn’t resist purchasing.

Tarte Shape Tape in “Light Neutral”-
I am CLEARLY late to the party with this one. I broke under the peer pressure and actually used it that same day and I was so surprised with it because I was under the impression it was supposed to be so THICK AND DRY but it was so smooth!! Of course, I love it.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow in “Dark Brown”-
This was my last purchase from Sephora and it’s not one that I intended to grab. I was actually on the hunt for the GIMME BROW from benefit but they were out of stock of my colour, so I was looking for something else to intensify my brows. I have seen this around ever since beauty bloggers became a thing online and I feel like it may have been the PixiWoo girls who I originally found out about it from. But I thought it’d be handy to try when I go on my Queensland holiday as its supposed to be muggy as f**k.

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder –
Seeing as though I managed to somewhat control myself in Sephora, I was on a mission for one thing in Mecca. Basically my all-time favourite Models Own Loose Setting Powder has not been in stores for a LONG TIME and is rumoured to be discontinued. So in a heartbroken state, I asked the Mecca ladies to save me. And they led me to this, which I heard amazing things about and went to the counter before anything else caught my eye!

That’s IT! I am very proud of myself for not going overboard with my spending as when Sephora first got afterpay I have to admit I spent almost 1,000 in there. This was my first time back shopping in 2 years and I only spent about $300.

Anyways, Thank you for reading !!
